Machete

Some of the squash grown by community members is fed to pigs, chickens and horses. Here, it is carried to such purpose on the end of a machete, the ubiquitous, all-purpose farm tool used–among other things–as a paring knife, screwdriver, hoe, wire stripper, planer, chopper, digger and pencil sharpener.
