Green With Promise

A farmer walks through his bean field at the very edge of Paradise Farm, high above the community’s houses. Some families still grow subsistence crops such as corn and beans. As one of the farmers explains, “I can’t just feed my children passion fruit.” In fact, most families tell us they would prefer to grow food for both the table and the market, but with only 200 acres shared by 23 families, they simply don’t have the space.
